An Assessment of Regional ICESat‐2 Sea‐Level Trends

چکیده
Sea-level rise is an important indicator of ongoing climate change and well observed by satellite altimetry. However, observations from conventional altimetry degrade at the coast where regional sea-level changes can deviate open-ocean impact local communities. With 2018 launch laser altimeter onboard ICESat-2, new high-resolution ice, land, ocean elevations are available. Here we assess potential benefits sea level measured ICESat-2 comparing to data Jason-3 tide gauges. We find good agreement in linear rates computed independent observations, with absolute average residual 3.60 ± 0.03 cm yr−1 between global a 1° posting. The recent La Niña clearly evident as small-scale features. By demonstrating quality ICESat-2-measured level, provide support for integrating it into existing suite observations.

Model assessment of regional surface temperature trends ( 1949 - 1997 )
( Abstract. Analyses are conducted to assess whether simulated trends in SST and land surface air temperature from two versions of a coupled ocean-atmosphere model are consistent with the geographical distribution of observed trends over the period 1949-199'7. The simulated trends are derived from model experiments with both constant and time-varying radiative forcing. The models analyzed are l...
متن کاملassessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
An Iranian Model of Desertification Potential Assessment for Sustainable Regional Development
Extended abstract 1-Introduction Desertification means land degradation in the arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid regions because of natural or anthropogenic factors. Desertification is accounted as the third most important global challenge after the crisis of water shortage and drought in the 21st century. Desertification is a problem for many countries, especially the developing countries. I...
متن کاملNew Trends and Procedures of Program Assessment for Academic Units
Some consider assessment in terms of a systematic way of gathering and evaluating information within educational system and particularly higher education. Since, the term ‘’assessment’’ refers and relates to administrative processes, this paper has shed light some consideration on how it can benefit the members of department and program. Program assessment ultimately emphasizes on direction for...
متن کاملAIDS morbidity and mortality in Brazilian children before and after highly active antiretroviral treatment implementation: an assessment of regional trends.
BACKGROUND The objective of this study was to analyze regional trends over time of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) cases and deaths in Brazilian children, before and after implementation of free access to highly active antiretroviral treatment (HAART). METHODS We performed a nation-wide study with an ecologic design and a time-series analysis of AIDS incidence and mortality rates in...
